Who they were, and who we are.

We are a group of passionate volunteers who desire to tell the intricate story of Fort Yamhill, with all its facets, downfalls, and triumphs. We come from all walks of life, from school teachers to engineers, from retirees to bus drivers, and much more. The people that we portray and recreate were equally diverse and complex, and we strive to portray their lives, their society, and their life struggles in an open and honest way, as a key to our past and a lesson for our collective future.

Most of us got our start in local Civil War reenacting associations, and gradually either grew bored with the repetition, or grew fascinated with the complex story of antebellum and Civil War era Oregon, and how that effected the lives of many people, both Native American as well as Euro-American in the Willamette Valley.
