The Fort Yamhill Garrison is proud to work with Oregon State Parks to present another living history open house at Fort Yamhill State Heritage Area, in Grand Ronde, Oregon! Come out to the fort for educational, fun, personal conversations about life at the Fort and the Grand Ronde Agency!

About the event
In connection with Oregon State Parks Day and the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, the Fort Yamhill Garrison is proud to announce our 2019 Living History Open House! In our fifth year of presenting special programs at Fort Yamhill State Heritage Area, we are excited and more established than in previous years to present the fascinating and moving history of Fort Yamhill and the Grand Ronde Agency.
There will be various displays and demonstrations, including the Army Kitchen, Civilian Laundresses, The use and maintenance of U.S. Army Small Arms, interactive tours of the fort grounds, and much more! Tours are available on demand, and the official event schedule is being finalized.
There are no fees or ticket prices to attend the event, but Fort Yamhill State Heritage Area and the Fort Yamhill Garrison do accept donations for historical preservation, as well as the acquisition of historically accurate props and equipment…
